ABOUT ME

I am a Minnesota based artist who works in acrylics with a flare for iridescent and interference glazes and loose brushwork.

 

I have always been inspired by color and the brushwork of the Impressionists. In a fit of annoyance with a duo of paintings that refused to manifest in my vision, I cut them into strips. In doing so, something really special happened with the colors and relationships with each other when removed from their original, distracting composition. I composed them in a new, rhythmic way and my new style was created.
